De Utrechtse Heuvelrug is the ridge of hills that cuts across the province of Utrecht, in the centre of Holland. It is an area with magnificent views of the river country, endless woods, heather fields and sand dunes. A discovery tour through the area will lead you to beautiful country estates and castles. Kaapse Bossen: a forested region just south of the village of Maarn, perfect for hiking with its many trails, including a 1.8 kilometre stretch suited for wheelchairs. The varied woods of Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park are home to numerous species of birds, mammals, mushrooms and plants.
Huize Doorn
Whoever is interested in culture, or in search of royal romanticism and allure, or of the peace of nature, will find Huize Doorn with its residence and park an unforgettable experience. Huis Doorn owes its fascinating interiors and works of art to its last occupant, Wilhelm II, the German emperor who lived here after World War I.
Henschotermeer
Henschotermeer (or call it Lake Henschoten) is situated right next to Laag Kanje. A unique swimming lake with white beaches, right in the middle of the woods of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In addition to swimming, Henschotermeer offers numerous other recreational possibilities, such as clearly marked hiking trails.

Golf Club Anderstein
The 27-holes golf course of Golf Club Anderstein is located on the Anderstein country estate. The old trees on the estate, the rhododendrons and other plants always make a golfing day at Anderstein a unique experience, which can be rounded off in the comfortable club house or on the large outdoor terrace.
